Due to the current situation, sadly Wreckers are not able to dance out at the moment until further notice. Instead we are staying safe at home and avoiding our usual Morris mayhem. We are still keeping our minds active though. Every Thursday night we take turns to host pub quizzes, music and song sessions and general catch-ups for our members over the web. It’s been great fun, but as many will appreciate, we’ve longed to be back together face-to-face. We hope to be able to come out again soon, but until then, stay safe and Wreck On!
Ordinarily, between September and April, if we are not dancing out somewhere, we would be at St Dominic Village Hall. Then we usually head to the Who’d a Thought It Inn for music, refreshments and the occasional singing session. We are currently working out how we’re going to practice safely throughout autumn and winter. Because of the size of the hall, we will need to adapt so that we can socially distance and stay safe whilst still being able to move and dance effectively.
We welcome experienced and new dancers and musicians who would like to give Border Morris dancing a go. If you were thinking of coming along to practice, it might be best to email our Squire to find out what we are doing and where we are going to be.
